Smart Construction Group delivered slab-on-grade renovation and containment bund wall works for Chevron under consultant EGEC. The scope covered earth works, flooring renovation, slab-on-grade construction, electrical works, control works and metal works on a live oil and gas facility.

Oil and gas sites impose the strictest safety regime in industrial construction. Hot work, excavation and heavy plant all operate under permit within an environment where hydrocarbons may be present, so method statements and site control carry as much weight as the construction. Containment bund walls in particular are environmental protection assets — their integrity is what prevents a spill becoming a contamination event. SCG executed the works under the client's safety controls while the facility remained operational, delivering to the standards a major operator requires.
